Let me start by saying that I love Jaclyn Hill. She’s established a YouTube empire, boasting a channel bearing over 3 million subscribers, and you may have heard of the highly coveted Champagne Pop highlighter that she created through Becca Cosmetics last year.
Jaclyn broke the internet when she announced that she would be releasing a full Champagne Collection through Becca, which launched last week. Her Champagne Collection face palette sold out during it’s early release a couple of weeks ago, and the full collection went on sale Friday.
Since I’ve been a die-hard Jaclyn fan and Champagne Pop supporter from day one, I had to get my hands on this palette, and I am NOT disappointed.
The palette features two full size highlight shades, the famous Champagne Pop and the new Prosecco Pop. Champagne Pop is a peachy white gold highlight, which is beautiful on all skin tones, and Prosecco Pop is a true gold highlight that really packs a punch.
The palette boasts three full size Becca blushes, all designed by Jaclyn, in two matte shades and one shimmer shade. Rosé Spritz is the shimmery shade, and it’s a true peachy pink shimmer. It draws a comparison to MAC’s Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul, but it’s much more pigmented and it has that shimmery Champagne Pop sheen. The matte blushes, Amaretto and Pamplemousse, are also incredibly pigmented. Amaretto is a warm, toasted almond brownish color, and Pamplemousse is a bright coral pink.
Overall, the palette has beautiful pigmentation. If you’re looking for a one stop shop with blush and highlight, this palette is great. It rings in at $52.00 and basically contains five full size products that are usually around $35.00 each. My only qualm is that pretty much everyone who bought this palette already owns Champagne Pop, so it would have been nice to include a different shade in it’s place. I love using Amaretto, as well as the highlighters, on the eyes – Amaretto is beautiful in the crease.
To sum it up, this palette is just YAS. I love all of the shades, and they are super blendable and high quality. There are a couple of other products in the Champagne Collection, so let me know if you’d like me to try out more of the products and provide reviews. The palette is currently sold out online, but is set to be released in stores June 16th so start lining up, ya’ll.
PS: I found out about the launch of this by following Jaclyn on Snapchat, so if you want to be the first to know when the palette is back in stock, that’s a good strategy. Follow her @jaclynrhill
