KATE’S MOST LOVED WEEK #1

Happy Monday, everyone! As you can see, I’m piggybacking off the genius that is Miranda Feneberger by doing a little “Most Loved” series of my own. Not sure if I’m going to be able to do mine weekly, though, because when I’m hooked, I’m hooked – and I can’t promise my obsessions will be all that different week by week.

Let’s get to it, then! Here are my saviors as of right this moment.

Laura Geller Spackle SPF 30. Good lord, the makeup gods have heard my cries. There’s nothing that kills my fresh-faced vibe in the morning more than layering on product after product, and sometimes I feel like mixing it all together is doing more harm than good. Thankfully, Laura Geller combined primer and an actually effective amount of SPF – two steps in one, and my makeup glides on flawlessly over it.

Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW Pomade in Blonde. Attention: the big brow trend is definitely not going away. Good thing the brow experts at Anastasia have made it insanely easy for me to pump up my light, scraggly brows! All it takes is this tiny pot and a small, angled brush. It applies like butter, but doesn’t melt off no matter how much you’re sweating (I’d know, because, hello, I’m in Georgia). Best of all is what a perfect match it is for me – so many blonde brow products look all too fake, but this one’s natural-looking as can be. Can you tell I’m in love by how messy my pot is? Trust, I get an insane amount of use out of this baby.

Lime Crime Liquid Eyeliner in Blue Milk. I could never part with my basic black cat eye, but sometimes a gal’s just gotta mix it up. These days, when I’m feeling extra crazy, I reach for my Blue Milk. It’s just light enough to be attention-grabbing, but still pigmented enough that you avoid looking bat shit crazy. It’s easy to apply and, added bonus? It’ll stick all damn day.

Bumble and bumble Thickening Dryspun Finish. For the longest time, I detested the way my hair looked fresh out of the shower; I almost looked forward to oilier days so I could bump up the volume with a little dry shampoo. But I’m also not a fan of wasting my precious dry shampoo gold on days that I don’t need it. That’s where Dryspun Finish comes in. I flip my head over and spray it all over before mussing my hair up with my fingers. Voila! Perfect, airy texture, sans the clogged hair follicles and dandruff that dry shampoo often brings.

Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Moroccan Sleek Oil Treatment. On the opposite side of the coin from Dryspun Finish is this insanely hydrating oil treatment. With all that airy volume – and tons of bleach! – comes some sickeningly thirsty ends. Thankfully, my mom found out about my love for Moroccanoil and vowed to find me a cheaper option. Little did she know, she picked me up an even more effective product than the original. I rub it on damp hair all over, or on my ends when my hair is dry. My strands seriously lap it up, and they feel super soft all day long.

There you have it! Have you tried any of these stellar products? What beauty essentials are you loving these days?

Till next time!
