KATE'S MOST LOVED WEEK #2

Hey, look! Miranda and I are keeping up with Most Loved posts! Honestly, though, what could be more fun than picking out favorite beauty products and spreading your love for them around the world? And this time, I’ve got some great picks for you. Oddly enough, there’s a definite spring vibe to a lot of them, which I’ve realized isn’t a total coincidence – the fashion and beauty worlds are totally into a little irony right now. Pastel coats? Bright shades for nails? Check and check. Autumn doesn’t know what’s hit it.

Maybelline EyeStudio Brow Drama. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about applying brow gels to really perfect my arches. But sometimes, you just gotta get your ass out the door. This brow mascara with a spiky ball on the end defines brows, stat, and the shades are insanely natural. I like to use the ball on the thicker parts of my brow, and the rest of the brush to really exaggerate the arch and tail.

Royal Apothic Dogwood Blossom Perfume. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t get springier sounding than “dogwood blossom,” but trust, this scent is going to be your new fall favorite. With notes of tobacco, amber, ginger, and teakwood, the flower becomes much more dimensional, but not overly heavy. And dogwood blossoms bloom at night – the best time to wear this sultry spritzer.

Lush Cosmetics Sex Bomb. Here’s another massive dose of florals for you. I’ve tested dozens of Lush bombs, and this one’s my all-time favorite. It creates a sexy, sensual soak that’s doused in aphrodisiacs like jasmine, ylang ylang, and clary sage. And what could be more romantic than soapy rose petals fluttering all around you? I advise bringing someone else along for this bath time ride.

Deborah Lippmann Luxe Chrome Nail Color in I’ll Take Manhattan. I kid you not, I bought this bottle on a whim when I was feeling especially nostalgic for New York. I’m glad I did, though, because the color payoff is fantastic. Part of Lippmann’s New York Marquee collection, it’s a shimmery, aquatic teal that reminds me of skyscraper windows in the city. Sigh.

Fresh Peony Spot-Correcting Brightening Essence. When I was little, I used to get cute little freckles all over my face every summer. Now, the damage has added up to not-so-adorable clusters of hyperpigmentation, which only the likes of Fresh can take down with this peony and vitamin C-loaded serum. Plus, it’s crazy moisturizing – my face is the softest it’s ever been after about a month using this product.
