I’m baaaaack! So sorry for being absent for a little while – between final exams and a not so little heartbreak, your girl’s been struggling to keep her head above water. Speaking of, I’m planning on doing a kind of inspiration post concerning breakups in the next week, so look out for that. December is apparently the month when the most couples break up, so I’m guessing a lot of us are needing it.
ANYWAY. In my world, beauty is the ultimate way to feel better, so I decided to (finally!) do another “most-loved” post. Excuse the somewhat crappy photo quality – my camera’s kind of freaking out. What else could go wrong? Still, I promise that these products are absolute superstars. Swoon!
Lush Hot Toddy Shower Gel. If a Christmas tree and a snowman and a fireplace had a baby, it would be the amazing suds inside this bottle. The bright red shade and gold glitter are insanely festive, and the smell is earth-shaking: cinnamon, ginger and the faintest hint of patchouli. Plus, it’s slightly warming! What could be better on a chilly winter day?
Beauty Blender Micro Minis. I’ve loved my original Beauty Blender for an eternity, but even its little point couldn’t perfectly wedge itself into smaller spots like the inner corners of my eyes and around my nostrils. Naturally, the company read my mind and made these adorable minis. Oh, and I’m so glad they decided to put two in each package – I just know I’ll lose one of them soon.
Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair. Don’t freak! No, I’m not already starting to obsess over wrinkles. I’ve got some pretty nasty acne discoloration, and I read an article that recommended this product for just such a thing. You see, it quickens your skin’s cell turnover rate like crazy, and that means faster healing for pigmentation issues, too. Since I’ve started using this, my skin has improved tenfold. It’s seriously like night and day.
Dior Diorific Vernis in Smoky. Fine, fine, I’ll admit it: at first I really only wanted this for the gorgeous packaging. And the fact that’s it’s limited edition. I fall for that shit constantly. But I am seriously obsessed with the shade and smooth application now, too. It’s the most flawless, vampy, black/burgundy/mauve you could imagine, and absolutely my new winter nail staple.
Sephora Triple Action Cleansing Water. You’re probably sick of Miranda and me talking about cleansing water, but seriously, who’s not gonna freak over a product that makes you gorgeous and lets you be lazier? One swipe of “l’eau micellaire” and every trace of makeup, oil and grime is gone – sans rinsing. And much cheaper and easier to track down than Bioderma, of course. Who could resist?
Such solid products for winter, am I right? Have you tried any of these? Give me your thoughts!
