MOVIE REVIEW: LITTLE BIRDS

I’ve been watching far too many movies lately seeing that I still have finals left, but hey I’m a film major that’s allowed right?

This movie is exactly my type of movie. It’s just about stupid kids that have too many problems and just want to go on little adventures and escape their homes. I feel that. It stars Juno Temple, Kay Panabaker, Kyle Gallner, and Leslie Mann and it’s just a great movie. It’s essentially about two best friends who meet some skater dudes and decide to run away from home to be with them in Los Angeles. This movie is dark, intense, and beautiful to look at. It’s not really for the faint of heart but it is a beautiful movie. It’s a character movie. You just get a little slice of these kids’ lives and I found myself at the end wishing it lasted longer. Check it out on Netflix Instant Watch. I loved it.

Let me know if you watch it, because I absolutely loved Juno Temple’s acting but I hated her character with a burning passion. I just wanted to slap her in the face so many times. I definitely related much more to Panabaker’s character in this one. Let me know what you think!
