MOVIE REVIEW: NEW YORK, I LOVE YOU

New York, I Love You is a series of vignettes about life in New York City. The cast is pretty impressive, including Natalie Portman, Hayden Christiansen, Shia LaBeouf, Bradley Cooper, Andy Garcia, Anton Yelchin, Olivia Thirlby, Orlando Bloom, James Caan, and many others. The vignettes are intertwined, often sharing characters and settings. Multiple writers and directors worked together to bring individual voices to each story, creating an incredible melting pot of culture and perspective, which contributed a lot to the reality of the storyline. Overall, some of the vignettes are more believable than others, while a few are much more abstract. I particularly loved Shia LaBeouf’s story, along with Anton Yelchin and Olivia Thirlby’s, as well as Orlando Bloom and Christina Ricci’s.

Overall I really enjoyed this movie, and it’s on Netflix so I suggest you go watch it!
