MOVIE REVIEW: PREMIUM RUSH

Thus begins the first of my *hopefully* long term decision to have posts that correspond with daily themes in an attempt to organize things and hopefully keep things on more of a schedule round here. Read more about all of that here, but let us get down to business shall we!

The movie I want to talk about today is called Premium Rush, and it stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt *swoon* as a slightly cocky, though obviously likable bike messenger in New York City. Basically the plot revolves around a few of NYC’s finest, and dare I say hottest, bicycle messengers who get caught up in some Asian mafia/NYPD drama as a result of an envelope they’re trying to deliver. The movie is pretty predictable, slightly silly, and packed with many high-intensity bike stunts and chase scenes through the crowded NYC streets. If you like Joseph Gordon-Levitt as much as I do, this movie will keep your attention, but if you’re a dude who could care less about JGL, then you probably wont like this unless you’re super into bike stunts and other cool things like that. I give it a 3/5 because there are so many things this movie could have done better. I think they give away the suspenseful parts too easily, but I still enjoyed it a lot. Joseph Gordon-Levitt with super muscular arms and bike shorts who could turn that down?
