This movie is beautiful. I don’t know how I feel about the plot itself, but the films execution, acting, cinematography, and everything else is just beautiful. I’m going to insert a little plot summary here because I don’t know how to describe it without just telling you everything.

Ryan Gosling plays Luke, a drifter who makes a living doing motorcycle stunts in a traveling carnival. When he discovers that he has an infant son, he decides he wants to be able to take care of the child. He meets an ex-convict who knows how to rob banks, and learns from him how to pull off heists. His actions cause his life to become intertwined with a police officer named Avery (Bradley Cooper), who chases after him during a robbery. (source)

It’s a gorgeous movie. Everything looks beautiful all the time, and the story is inspiring. I especially love the end bit of the film, because I love Dane DeHaan and Emory Cohen together, and you’ll see why. DeHaan is like…exactly my type though. Kinda weird looking but like scruffy/skater/stoner aura. All about that.

Bradley Cooper and Ryan Gosling are great too, and even Eva Mendes does an incredible job. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who has some time, as it is a little long. My one complaint is that the main character changes a few times so it’s a little difficult to get emotionally invested, but it is definitely worth seeing. The cinematography and the script just align perfectly, and it’s got that wooded beauty that you all know I love.
