So, The Wolf of Wall Street. I liked it better than American Hustle. This movie is kind of similar to me, even though it isn’t really. I don’t know. If you don’t know, The Wolf of Wall Street is about a man (Leonardo DiCaprio) who is trying to make a name for himself in the cutthroat world of Wall Street.
Along the way, he meets a lively crew of characters, including Jonah Hill, Jean DuJardin, and Matthew McConnaughey. It’s an interesting movie. It’s pretty long, and it’s basically pornography for a good portion of it, but it’s a cool story and one that I haven’t seen/heard a million times. I really liked DiCaprio in it, shocking, and Jonah Hill even managed to be likeable for a while. This movie was mostly interesting because it was really awesome to get a glimpse of this world that I didn’t really know about at all. It’s a cool movie, and even though it’s super long, it is really engaging and cool to look at. Not to mention really hilarious. There’s an amazing scene where Leonardo DiCaprio’s character is tripping on some ancient pills and he literally inchworms his way down a staircase. It’s the funniest thing I’ve ever seen. If you like sex, drugs, Wall Street, and the mind of Martin Scorsese, you’ll love this movie. Also, Jonah Hill’s teeth are terrifying.
What do you think? Hustle or Wolf?
