NEW YORK FASHION WEEK HIGHLIGHTS

Apart from the couture and menswear collections, I think Ready To Wear is my favorite “genre” so to speak of fashion. We’re in the midst of London Fashion Week now (posts on that soon), but I thought I’d review some of my favorite moments and trends of the NY Fashion Week Spring 2014 RTW collections.

The fashion world is booming with praise for the newest addition to Target’s designer-for-less collaborative endeavor: Phillip Lim. In addition, the 3.1 Phillip Lim Runway collection is stunning. Echoing many of the same colors as his Target collection, the details of his spring line are just amazing.

It’s been a while since there’s been a killer graphic on the RTW runways, and the patterns of this show were just so glorious. The details are absolutely gorgeous.

Alright remember what I said about not seeing a good graphic on the RTW runway in a while? I take it back. Allow me to present you with the bold, showstopping Ralph Lauren collection. I’ve always been a huge RL fan, and this collection is no exception. Preppy, elegant heaven. PEPLUM BLAZERS GUYS!!!! Not to mention all of the glorious sunnies.

Last but not least, I thought I’d finish off with some of my favorite runway makeup from NYFW. Stick around as you might see some of these looks recreated on our YouTube channel, HERE. Make sure you subscribe to our channel to be the first to see our new videos!
